Create a photo gallery

  1. Position the insertion point where you want to add a photo gallery.

    Or, click  to create a blank page.

  2. On the Insert menu, click Web Component.
  3. In the left pane, click Photo Gallery.
  4. In the right pane, select the type of layout you want to use.

    A de ion of the selected layout appears below it.

  5. Click Finish.

    The Photo Gallery Properties dialog box automatically opens.

  6. Click Add to insert a graphic into the photo gallery.

    Note   You can add as many graphics at a time as you want.

  7. Select one of the following:

    Pictures from files

    Locate and select the graphic you want to use, and click Open.

    Pictures from a scanner or camera

    1. From the list, select the device from which you will be adding a graphic.
    2. Depending upon what type of device you selected, choose the resolution you want.
    3. Depending upon what type of device you selected, select Insert or Custom Insert.
    4. Follow the directions for your specific device.
     
  8. To rearrange the order in which the photos or graphics will appear in the photo gallery, select the name of the graphic, and click Move Up or Move Down.
  9. Do one or more of the following:

    Change the thumbnail size of the graphic

    Specify the width and height of the thumbnail in the Width and H eight boxes under Thumbnail size.

    Note   Thumbnails are automatically created.

    Add a caption or de ion below the graphic

    Note   If you choose Montage Layout, the text boxes for Caption and De ion will be unavailable (grayed out).

    1. Click the graphic that has the caption you want to edit.
    2. A preview of the graphic is displayed next to its name.
    3. In the Caption box, type the caption you want to appear under the graphic.
    4. In the De ion box, type the de ion you want to appear in the space below the graphic and its caption.

    Change the layout of the photo gallery

    1. Click the Layout tab.
    2. Choose a layout from the list.
    3. View a preview of the layout under Preview.
    4. Select a number from Number of pictures per row, and click OK.

      Note   If you choose Slide Show or Montage Layout, this option will be unavailable (grayed out).

     

Note   You can also apply a theme to a photo gallery just as you would with any other web page.
