Verify a database connection

1. On the Tools menu, click Web Settings, and then click the Database tab.
2. Click the database connection you want to verify, and then click Verify.

Notes

• In the list of database connections, the Status column contains a question mark (?) if the connection hasn't been verified.
• If Microsoft FrontPage successfully verifies the database connection, the question mark in the Status column changes to a check mark.
• If FrontPage does not successfully verify the database connection, the question mark in the Status column changes to a broken link icon. Click Modify, adjust the database connection properties as required, and then test the connection again.
